I Am Literally Going Crazy

Well just like Rihanna in her new fantastic song, Disturbia, my Doctrine and Covenants paper "is making me crazy!" It is totally and completely consuming my life. I can't sleep, I can't think straight, I can't eat, oh wait, I have been eating just fine. (A complete bag of Spicier Nacho Doritos to be exact.) Nevertheless, it is consuming my life. I am only on page 8 of the 10-15 page paper. I have six verses left to comment on and I am quickly running out of sources to use. Well I guess I must get back to writing the dumb thing...Hey! One good thing is that it is now time for my to refill my bowl of delicious Dorito snacks! Hmmm....now my only question is cooler ranch or should I stick with the original nacho? :)

Warning: This Post Could Make You Sick

So I have decided that you cannot fully state that you are a married woman until you have used your husband's toothbrush without realizing it. I know, I know, that's disgusting but it indeed happened last night. I have been sick and barely conscious after the hours of 9:00pm and so instead of grabbing my own yellow toothbrush I grabbed his green toothbrush and furiously brushed. Ten minutes later I hear from the bathroom...."Um, Lauren? What color was the toothbrush you used to brush your teeth?" Apparently, his green toothbrush was completely wet while my yellow toothbrush was dry as a bone. So now I can say with true conviction that I am married to Jake! :)

The Original "Mavericks!"

So today Jake and I decided that we are "mavericks." Not just any normal "mavericks" but THE "mavericks." We also decided that there are way too many foreigners in the UN. Once Jake and I get elected we are going to get those jobs back into American hands! We're going to get into that UN and think like "mavericks" and do "mavericky" things. Yeah. OK. Just kidding. We love to make fun of Tina Fey's snippit on Sarah Palin...it cracks us up!

I guess as a side note....this picture of us was taken at a ward activity January 2008. Our ward went ice-skating and luckily this picture was taken. I hate getting my picture taken and therefore, have very few pictures. So I am glad that we have this one. This is before we were even engaged and it's funny because everyone sees it and thinks it could be our engagement picture. FATE! :)

What a Wonderful Sunday!

Today has been rainy, snowy, and pretty dreary. But that has not affected the day at all! I got to sleep in until 9:00 and then treated myself to a wonderful brownie breakfast (the breakfast of champions). Jake and I ate cheese crisps together for lunch (need I say more) and then got ready for church. I wore my black-denim jumper with black tights, a black shirt and a pair of black shoes (I am sure that members of the ward thought I was in mourning :) ) Jake and I came home, ignored our homework and watched a documentary on KBYU concerning the ugliest animals on the planet. Very fascinating. And as of right now Jake is watching football while I begin this blog. I can't believe I have subscribed to one of these things....but I hope to use it as a type of journal. Anyway...that has been my day and I am very grateful for the wonderful day it has been!
