Matlock

Ah, Ben Matlock. His honourable quests, his quick wit, and incredible skills in catching the bad guy are absolutely amazing! During high school I would stay home and watch Matlock with my mom. Everyday at 12:00 on the Hallmark channel and 1:00 on KJZZ 14. A double feature always made my day! Even though the story is based on murder and intrigue it is actually very wholesome and a good family show. I really have enjoyed this show over the years and I confess that is holds a very special place in my heart. :) Thanks Mom!

To Sum it All Up...

Well to tell you all the truth, this picture sums up my day today. This is my cousin Brett and he has the amazing talent of falling asleep wherever he is. Right now I am sitting on my couch, slumped over, eyes glazed, wanting to be right where Brett is. Jake and I were at the temple pretty much ALL day. It's wonderful there but after a whole day of serving and memorization you get a little tired. Then I came home only to find (OK I knew it was there) a huge pile of dishes, crusted over and probably growing mold. :) So I got to work and then realized that dinner had even been started. I didn't even pull out the frozen meat this morning! So I pulled the frozen-to-the-core meat out of the freezer and stuck it in the microwave for a few minutes. Finally, dinner was made. I must say it was delicious but I couldn't swallow it. I have been battling (battling? that makes it sound like some horrible disease!) a really bad sore throat this past week. I can't swallow anything. So now it's 8:00 and I am ready for bed. I am not doing any more homework, no more dishes, and no more thinking! I am going to adopt Brett's philosophy: Sleep when you want to sleep!

TAGGED!

So Nikelle tagged me and apparently that means that I had to post the 4th picture from my 4th photo album on my computer. So.......here it is. :)

This picture is so random and I have absolutely no idea why Maragert is no not wearing a shirt. :) But I love this picture....Margaret is wearing her pretend makeup (notice the blue eyeshadow and the hot pink lipstick) while brushing the hair of one of her Barbie dolls. This, I think, was taken Christmas of 2007. I love Christmas! Christmas is always a time of chaos and family love. Can you see in the background of the picture how much stuff is scattered all over the floor? Candy, toys, toothbrushes, clothes, etc.

So now I will tag:

Mom

Caroline

Aunt Jenny

Happiness is Closer Than You Think!

10 Jan 2009
So I decided to use this picture for Saturday January 10. After a long day we decided to go out and get dinner from Arby's. Right there on my cup was the phrase "HAPPINESS IS JUST A CURLY FRY AWAY." How true is that? After I popped one of those delicious, deep-fried goodies into my mouth it seemed as if all of my troubles disappeared. All that was left in the world were those curly fries just waiting to make my stomach happy.
These kind of days make me laugh. Although I don't even remember what exactly happened that day...I remember that some clever marketing director explained exactly how I was feeling that day and at that precise moment. :)

A Year in the Making...

Well I guess that I should first say thank-you to Mom for this great idea! I am going to begin taking one photo for every single day of the this year (2009). This will hopefully turn into a scrapbook of memories from this year!

09 Jan 2009
This photo represents today, and pretty much all week, because my life has been taken over by work. I work for Guest Services on BYU campus (mostly in the Wilkinson Center). We do all sorts of things. For example: On Tuesday (January 6) I worked at the Devotional. On Thursday (January 8) I drove the Men's Volleyball team up to the SLC airport in a shuttle. (Not as exciting as it sounds.....trust me.) Tonight I am working at the Welcome Back Week Dance and can hardly wait! (Please realize I am being completely sarcastic.) However, I am grateful to have a job that is flexible and that brings home the bacon. :)
P.S. Jake and I have been married for 8 months today!
