Sometimes I think we become wrapped up in our daily schedule. I, especially, get caught up in school work, job work, house work, relationship work, etc., etc. I hate to admit it but I take my family and the people that I love for granted and just assume that they are going to be around forever. I don't need to tell my parents how grateful I am for them or tell Jake how deeply I love him because I can always say those things tomorrow.
Last night my Aunt Debby passed away. It was sudden and unexpected and none of us saw it coming.
I am sad. I am sad that these things happen although I know they are part of Heavenly Father's plan and that they happen for a reason that we cannot comprehend. I am sad that it is in moments like these that I am shaken awake.
I am resolved to tell Jake everyday how much he means to me and that he is more important to me that anything else in the world. I am resolved to let my parents and my brother and sisters know that I am grateful for them and that they are my examples in life. I am resolved to be kinder, happier, and more grateful.

Mmmm....
Today as I was walking home from class I began to wonder what I could have for lunch. Then inspiration struck and I decided upon tuna and crackers! YUM! I don't know why but I just love this little snack! It fills you up and is semi-healthy for you.
I have a lot to do today. As a goal for this new year I have decided to try a chore chart for myself. I decided I needed one to keep Jake and I on track. It goes as follows:
Monday: Bathroom Day
Tuesday: Laundry/Vacuum
Wednesday: Kitchen
Thursday: Vacuum
Friday: Bedroom
Saturday: Tidy-Up
So far I haven't done a very good job at sticking to my chores....sometimes laundry just has to be done on Saturday. :) But so far it has been good for me to have little goals set for each day. So obviously today is Monday which means the bathroom is waiting for me to tackle it. There are also some dishes waiting to be done.
But one thing keeping me going is......The Bachelor!!! I know, I know. It is a pretty trashy show. Don't worry we change the channel when those steamy love scenes come on. :) But I love to watch all of these people waste a month or two of their lives only to find out in the end that they really have nothing in common with the "bachelor." Only six more hours until the drama begins!!! I am so glad that the dating scene is behind me!

Where is My Motivation?
I have officially lost all motivation for today. Instead of working on the pile of homework sitting on our coffee table I decided to focus on my very important blog. :) Winter semester is underway and I already feel like I need to catch-up. I am in my first cohort and will begin my first practicum in March. I cannot wait! I get so excited when I think about guided reading groups, classroom set-up, standardized tests, etc. To all of those who think Elementary Education is an "easy" major I say this, "You better take that back." I will probably never forgive your naivete either. Just kidding. But seriously, being a teacher is hard work! However, it definitely has its rewards.
In other news, BYU Men's basketball just won their game against San Diego State University. The score? 71-69....a nail-biter! Sure hope their winning streak continues!
Jake and I are so very fortunate (complete sarcasm) to have church every week at 8:00 am. Not even kidding. Yes, that is ten hours from now. Sacrament meeting is first and everyone arrives sporting puffy, blood-shot eyes. OK, only Jake and I have puffy, blood-shot eyes but everyone looks dead tired. Most of the kids in our ward show up to church in their pajamas. Does anyone else think 8:00am is too early for church? So while all of you are sleeping....Jake and I will be at church rubbing our eyes, desperately trying to stay awake.

Freedom!
Let Freedom Ring.........whoo-hoo!!! I am officially done with Fall semester 2009! Good-bye creative dance class, good-bye stupid movement problem worksheet, good-bye five page children's literature final, and good-bye children's picture book that took me 40+ hours! Good-bye, good-bye, good-bye! I sure do love my freedom!

The Latest Projects
These are my two latest projects that I have been working on:
1- This is "Mrs. Ladybug's Art History". It would probably be used for 1-3rd graders. What happens is I show the students a piece of art and we answer the questions found on the spots. The spots are actually dettachable and so when we begin the ladybug doesn't have any spots on her at all. After we have investigated the painting long enough, all of her spots should be there! This is probably my favorite of all the projects I have done all semester.
And this is a picture of Fluffy, the three headed dog. This is my second project of the week. We did a play in my drama class. The play consisted of several scenes from Harry Potter that were changed or altered by one small decision made by one of the characters. Anyways, I am a horrible actor. I will just admit that now. I am a behind-the-scenes kind of person. And that's exactly the job I got; sound crew. UNTIL, they needed someone to play Fluffy. So I got to be one of the heads. My dream role.....NOT! The play was fun but I am so glad that it is over!
Upcoming projects: Dance lesson plan and teaching practicum, Art unit and presentation, drama lesson plan and group presentations and music colored picture book.

2 - She is so sweet! She never has anything mean to say, ever!
3 - She is very giving! She is always giving her things to other people. (Mostly Margaret :)
4 - She is so helpful! She is always willing to help anyone in need. (Me, with my homework!)
5 - She is musically talented! She has the most beautiful singing voice. I love to sing the primary songs with her!
6 - She is very creative! She creates amazing drawings and stories. And she is always coming up with something clever!
7 - She is so smart! She has amazing grades in school and always seems to know the right answer to any question.
8 - She is so fashionable! Even when she thinks she looks less-than-amazing, she does! Even her "comfy" clothes are stylish!
9 - She is determined! She knows where she wants to go in life and how she will get there.
10 - She is the best 15 year old sister ever! She is always there to talk to and get advice from!

Yeah, It's Been a While
Yeah, it has been a while since we have posted anything on our blog. Sorry everyone. But seriously school has taken over our lives. The only reason I am posting anything now is because I am totally procrastinating my math homework...I am even trying to formulate an excuse for me not to go to class tomorrow morning. UGH! Why can't it just be Thanksgiving break already?! Well here are some things we have done since September:
Our sister-in-law, Melissa, had a baby shower for her baby that is due in about two weeks! It was fun to go and support her and her little baby! Congratulations Melissa!
We also finally got a BYU sticker for our car. Now, I am not a huge fan of bumper stickers. Actually, I hate them. However, we have given four years of our lives to Brigham Young University and felt that should be displayed on our car for everyone to see. :)
We also had a great Halloween! Thanks Margaret for letting us take you and your friends trick or treating! Jake and I had a fun time painting our pumpkings! (If you would like to know the reason why we paint our pumpkins instead of carving them, you can ask Jake. haha!) I think they turned out so cute! On a sad note, when we came home from our trick or treating in Lehi we only had one pumpkin sitting outside our door. Yes, Jake's little pumpkin was missing!
I am in my arts semester of the elementary education program and am constantly swamped with little and big projects of all shapes and sizes. One requirement I have had has been to read 1800 pages in addition to the ten required books for the class, children's literature. I LOVE it! I have already exceeded the 1800 pages and am still reading lots and lots of books! One of my more recent projects was this puppet: Sam. He is obsessed with math and loves to draw graphs. Yes, he has a character. My theater teacher told us that as we made our puppets they would tell us who they wanted to be. (Gag.) So I guess this puppet told me he wanted to be Sam.
Jake has been super busy with his business classes but is loving it! He is going to be a great purchaser someday! He is also the best husband in the world! Tonight he made me dinner and had the laundry done when I came home from class!
